About APIPriceBook
APIPriceBook is an independent reference site for developer and SaaS API pricing comparison. We track the published pricing of 21 API providers across 5 categories — transactional email, SMS, authentication, payments and search — and present it on a normalized cost-per-unit basis so you can compare apples to apples.
Why we built it
Vendor pricing pages are designed to sell, not to compare. One charges per 1,000 emails, another bundles a monthly fee; one quotes a per-message rate that hides carrier fees; payment processors mix a percentage with a fixed fee so the "cheapest" flips with your order value. We do the normalization once so you do not have to, and we show every formula.
How we work
- Every figure is a snapshot of the vendor's own public pricing page, captured on a dated basis (currently June 2026). Each vendor page links to its source.
- Derived numbers — cost per 1,000 emails, effective payment rates, per-MAU costs — are computed with transparent formulas, never invented.
- We add "estimate — verify with the vendor" disclaimers on anything that touches money, because API pricing changes often.
- We are not affiliated with any vendor; all trademarks belong to their owners.
What we don't do
We do not provide negotiated/enterprise quotes (those are private), and we do not guarantee a price is current — always confirm on the vendor's page before you commit. See our methodology for sources and formulas.
